Autism Vaccine Connection

If you're a pediatrician and you insist on vaccinating, do your research. It's readily available, i.e., 

"During the past few years the Autism Research Institute has been flooded with an upsurge in pleas for help from parents throughout the world from wherever World Health Organization guidelines are followed. The majority of these parents say their children were normal until getting MMR –another triple vaccine. 

Let me dispel myths provided by those who deny the autism-vaccine connection. 

1) They say the vaccines are safe but physicians are indoctrinated to disbelieve claims of harm and are not trained to recognize nor required to report any adverse reactions. From 90% to 99% of the adverse reactions reported to doctors are never reported by those doctors to the governments' extremely lax Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, known as VAERS. 

2) They say that the suspected link between the MMR vaccination and autism has been disproved by a st
udy conducted by Brent Taylor and his colleagues and published last year in the Lancet (the same journal in which Wakefield's Research was published). 
The Taylor study is seriously flawed in many ways, as had been noted in a number of letters to the editor of The Lancet And in a number of additional letters on the internet. It was subject to strong attack at a recent meeting of the British Statistical Society. I have been a full-time researcher my entire professional life, for almost 50 years, and I respectively asked Dr. Taylor for a copy of the data so that I could re-analyze them. He refused this ordinary professional courtesy... 




3) They say that autism has a large genetic component and therefore vaccines must play a minimal, if any, role in the causation of autism, so I am certainly not hostile to that idea. However genes do not begin to account for the huge increase in the incidence of autism, ranging from 250% to 500% in various places. I might add that we have just reviewed all of the recent genetic studies for the next issue of the Autism Research Review International which I edit. They claim that autism naturally occurs at about 18 months, when MMR is routinely given, so the association is merely coincidental and not causal. But the onset of autism at 18 months is a recent development. Autism starting at eighteen months rose very sharply in the mid-1980s, when the MMR vaccine came into wide use.

Think Well

How important is your mental health when considering your overall wellness?

According to James Chestnut B.Ed., MSc., DC, “It is now incontrovertible that it is more accurate to describe a human being as a body-mind-spirit than as a mind and a body. Quite simply, Descartes was wrong and the effects of the paradigm have been devastating! Descartes believed that the only interface between mind and body lay in the tiny pineal gland at the base of the brain. This mathematical model was the beginning of the dualistic way of thinking that ruled medicine for the next 300 years—and still does.”

Descartes believed that the mind and body literally have no relation to each other in terms of health. He actually believed you could remove the entire brain and have no effect on health! The belief that disease was the result of breakdowns in the body, or invasion by bugs, has shaped the medical model of symptom treatment. The essence of this paradigm still prevails in the medical model to this day.

The pharmaceutical model of selling a drug for a symptom started in 1910 with J.D. Rockefeller, who had financial interests in “biomedicine.” Our modern era of medicine was literally started by a businessman, not a healer. Emphasis at that time was placed on the discovery and quantification of disease and its associated drug for the eradication of the symptom(s) it created.

Is there any argument that we are dying by the millions from diseases that have been properly diagnosed and properly treated? Medicine is purely scientific; it has proven itself to be totally and completely unable to create or improve health. Like Dr. Chestnut says, “If drugs and surgeries were free and unlimited, we would still not be more well or more healthy as a society.”

Medicine defines success as whether or not a treatment can decrease a symptom, not by whether or not the individual returns to a state of health and homeostasis. It is tantamount to using the fire department to prevent fires! How will hoses, axes, fire trucks, water, and firemen stop fires from occurring? We spend trillions of dollars every year on putting out fires (disease), but unless we do the work necessary to stop fires from happening, we will always need a fireman (MD). And if a drug were to stop a fire (disease) in progress, and do a really good job of putting out the fire (disease), it still cannot EVER stop a fire (disease) from starting!

The laboratory and clinical evidence of the connection between mind, body and belief systems is indisputable. If you do not take care of your mind, your body will suffer. It is also just as important to remember that the body influences the mind as much or more. This is an area of research called “somatoneurophysiology.”

“At Harvard University, Women in mind-body support groups for infertility conceive 44% of the time as opposed to an expected 8% rate.” (Domar, 2002).

“80% of men with hypertension in mind-body groups are able to decrease their medication while 16% are able to stop their medication entirely” (Friedman, 1992).

Friedman also studied heart attack, arthritis, AIDS, chronic pain, and insomnia—all showed significant benefits from mind-body groups and skill programs to improve their health.

There is a huge amount of research showing the power of positive lifestyle on heart disease, cancer, stroke, diabetes, obesity, Alzheimer and all other chronic diseases. While, on the other hand, there is absolutely NO evidence that drug therapy prevents any chronic disease—how could it? Drugs can only be administered after the disease is present. We are not talking about a drug deficiency problem, we are talking about a lifestyle problem!

In a clinical study, researchers gave rats water with saccharin and then injected them with a nausea drug in an attempt to anchor saccharin to nausea. After repeating this several times, the researchers then just gave saccharin water to the rats and they all got nausea. The crazy thing is that the rats all started dying even though they were well taken care of. The researchers could not figure out the problem at first. What they discovered changes how we understand the mind-body connection forever: “The drug used to create nausea was also a powerful immune suppressant so the rats not only anchored the taste of saccharin to nausea, the immune systems of the rats had a weakened state anchored to saccharin,”(Behavioral Conditioning and the Immune System, Grune and Stratton, 1993).

Let me try to make this very clear—the rats were no longer being given the drug that weakened their immune system. This is like Pavlov’s dogs linking a weakened immune system to the bell—ring the bell; get sick. How powerful is your mind? Pavlov showed that the dogs would salivate when the bell rang—a conditioned response that is no longer questioned. What these researchers found with the rats is a much deeper response than what Pavlov discovered. We thought that this was an inviolate part of our internal functioning. We thought that our immune function and our mind were separable. They are not.

This is one of the most important validations for the wellness paradigm. Ignoring this information is equivalent to malpractice, but it is virtually absent from current patient education!

6 Ways to Prevent Cancer

  1. Exercise: Even a small amount of exercise can offer substantial protection. Men who exercised just once a week lowered prostate cancer risk by 30% (1). Other studies suggest that the more active you are the lower your risk of colon and breast cancers (the biggest killers after lung cancer). One study showed regular physical activity reduced the risk of colon cancer by 25-40% while another showed even a few hours of vigorous activity per week compared to none reduced breast cancers by 30-40% (2). Most physiological experts recommend at least 30 min a day of moderate activity to stay healthy.
  2. Don’t Smoke and avoid secondhand smoke as well. Smoking causes more than one in four cancers (1). Nonsmokers who worked in a smoking workplace had three times the amount of carcinogens in their urine compared to those working in a smoke-free workplace (4).
  3. Sleep 7 hours a night: A large 2002 study showed that those who sleep about 7 hours a night were less likely to die of cancer and other causes than those who slept either substantially more or less than that. The reasons are unknown but the statistics seem clear enough.
  4. Foods to Eat: We are what we eat is the old saying that has been passed down from generations. The problem is we do not really except that analogy most of the time. Just because something is editable does not mean it should be put into our bodies. Food manufactures have placed lots of chemicals, heavy metals, preservatives and fillers into most foods in the store today. This will give greater yield and make more money for that particular company. But it cost us our health over time. Simple stuff like adding fresh fruits and veggies will go a long way to improving our health. Several studies states to add broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage to your diet. This family of veggies contains chemicals that help cells repair DNA, which may help prevent them from becoming cancerous (2). Eat blueberries as they help protect against colon cancers. Drink pomegranate juice as studies show it may inhibit the growth of lung cancer and delay growth of prostate cancers. Seaweed sheets, used to wrap sushi, may protect against skin cancers so try some sushi (2). Dr. Culveyhouse suggests vegetarian types if you worry about raw fish.
  5. Avoid Fat and Red Meat: A major study of half a million Europeans (4), focused on 13,000 women and found those who ate the diet in saturated fat (over 3.2 ounces a day) were twice as likely to develop breast cancer as those who ate the least (less than 1.4 ounces/day) (4). Saturated fats including full fat dairy products and fatty meats, especially sausage, bacon and most processed meats. The same study found bowel cancer risk a third higher for those who ate more than two small servings (2.86 ounces each) of red meat or processed meats a day compared to those who are less than one serving a week. Red meats included beef, pork, lamb or veal. If we were eating a Paleo style diet full of wild animals, it would be a different study. But many true Vegetarians are still very healthy and they do not consume any form of animal products while limiting grains.
  6. Take Essential Nutrients/Supplements: Men who took a daily supplement with 200mcg of selenium for 4.5 years cut their prostate cancer risk by 49% and if their initial levels were abnormally low the protection was even greater. Women who took 1000 IU of vitamin D-3 daily lowered risks of all cancers by 42% compared to those taking a placebo over a 4 year study. Vitamin D causes early death of cancer cells. The body makes vitamin D in the sunlight but low light in winter, living in extreme heat climates, dark skin or sunscreen use prevents most people from getting enough so we suggest at least 1000 IU a day in supplements. For most people who are deficient, taking 5,000 IU’s a day until the body is sufficient in Vitamin D might be needed.
Several other leading physiologist state that if we put the right nutrients into our bodies on a daily basis, we should not even have to supplement in the first place. If we preformed the right about of movement or energy expenditure on a daily basis, we would have the physically fit bodies humans should have. So Needless to say, if people could just learn and follow my advice on how to Eat Wise – Move Wise – Think Wise, humans would be in a different situation today. Just a little food for thought!

Understanding the Levels of Consciousness 

Dr. David R. Hawkins, MD, PhD developed a “map” of the levels of human consciousness (also called the Scale of Consciousness) that uses a muscle-testing technique called Applied Kinesiology (AK) to document the nonlinear, spiritual realm. The research was scientifically-validated and published in Dr. Hawkins’ doctorate dissertation titled Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis and Calibrations of the Level of Human Consciousness, an elaborate discussion of the Scale of Consciousness and its significance as outlined in his groundbreaking book, Power vs. Force: The Anatomy of Consciousness (Veritas Publishing, 1995).

Briefly, each level of consciousness (LOC) coincides with determinable human behaviors and perceptions about life and God. Each level represents a corresponding attractor field of varying strength that exists beyond our three-dimensional reality. There’s a critical point within each LOC from which its field gravitates (or entrains).

The numbers on the scale represent logarithmic calibrations (measurable vibratory frequencies on a scale which increases to the tenth power) of the levels of human consciousness and its corresponding level of reality. The numbers themselves are arbitrary; the significance lies in the relationship of one number (or level) to another (e.g., Dr. Hawkins’ scale is from 1 to 1000).

The Great Barrier 
Dr. Hawkins points out that the two greatest spiritual growth barriers seem to be at level 200 and 500. Two hundred, the level of courage, represents a profound shift from destructive and harmful behavior to life-promoting and integrous lifestyles; everything below 200 makes one go weak using kinesiology. Currently, approximately 78% of the world’s population is below this significant level. The destructive capacity of this majority drags down all of mankind without the counterbalancing effect of the 22% above 200. Because the scale of consciousness is logarithmic, each incremental point represents a giant leap in power. As such, one person calibrated at 600 counterbalances the negativity of 10 million people below 200.

The second great barrier is level 500—Love. Love in this context is a way of being in the world—not an emotionality as most of us perceive it. According to Dr. Hawkins, the reason the level of love is so difficult to achieve is because our ego is so rooted in the physical domain as opposed to the spiritual domain, which emerges at 500. The 400s represent the level of reason, guided by the linear, mechanistic world of form (our modern society that includes advancements in medicine, science, government, etc). Interestingly, the top echelon of intellectual genius, including Einstein, Freud, Newton, Aristotle, etc., all calibrated around 499. The 500s represent a very difficult hurdle as only four percent of the world’s population calibrates in the 500s. This level denotes a shift from the linear, provable domain (classic physics or Newtonian physics) to the nonlinear, formless, spiritual realm.

A person’s LOC remains rather steady through the lifetime. Emotions come and go like the passing wind, but a person’s calibratable LOC is governed by specific energy fields in the nonlinear domain which generally doesn’t waver. Over the course of a lifetime, the average person’s LOC will change approximately five points (this is not a statistical derivation, but an average discovered through Dr. Hawkins’ kinesiologic research). However, it is possible for an individual (such as a spiritual aspirant) to have their LOC jump (or drop) hundreds of points in a single lifetime. -RE: Power Vs. I was lucky to experience Dr. Hawkins while attending his lecture on Transcending the Levels of Consciousness three years ago in Novato, California. His Joy for life radiated into the audience during his lecture. There is something about the beauty of 'truth' that is recognizable. I've never been so excited about life and the path towards more knowledge of our existence! I nearly levitated out of my seat! Hawkins stated that once given a glimpse of the state of Enlightenment, nothing on earth will ever quench your thirst again! :)

The following information is designed as a quick reference tool for Dr. Hawkins’ students who are familiar with the Map of Consciousness. To fully understand this Map of the Scale of Consciousness within the proper context, it’s important to read Dr. Hawkins’ book, Power vs. Force.

These levels determine the reason why people behave the way they do.
These levels can be divided into positive energy-giving levels and negative energy-taking levels. The negative levels from the lowest to the highest are: shame, guilt, apathy, grief, fear, desire, anger, pride. The positive levels are: courage, neutrality, willingness, acceptance, reason, love, joy, peace, enlightenment.
He claims that, although there may be times when we function at different levels of consciousness, we in general operate at one particular level. This can be considered our core level. It is here where I would like to explain these different levels and hopefully inspire you to move beyond your current state.

Shame
According to Hawkins, this is one step above death. At this level, the primary emotion one feels is humiliation. It’s not surprising that this level, being so close to death, is where most thoughts of suicide are found. Those who suffer from sexual abuse are often found here, and without therapy they tend to remain here.

Guilt
Not too far from shame is the level of guilt. When one is stuck in this level, feelings of worthlessness and an inability to forgive oneself are common.

Apathy
The level of hopelessness and despair; this is the common consciousness found among those who are homeless or living in poverty. At this level, one has abdicated themselves to their current situation and feels numb to life around them.

Grief
Many of us have felt this at times of tragedy in our lives. However, having this as your primary level of consciousness, you live a life of constant regret and remorse. This is the level where you feel all your opportunities have passed you by. You ultimately feel you are a failure.

Fear
People living under dictatorship rule or those involved in an abusive relationship find themselves at this level. There is a sense of paranoia here, where you think everyone is out to get you. Suspicion and defensiveness are common.

Desire
Desire is a major motivator for much of our society. Although desire can be an impetus for change, the downside is that it leads to enslavement to ones appetites. This is the level of addiction to such things as sex, money, prestige, or power.

Anger
As one moves out of Apathy to Grief and then out of Fear, they begin to want. Desire which is not fulfilled leads to frustration which brings us to Anger. This anger can cause us to move out of this level or keep us here.

Pride
According to Hawkins, since the majority of people are below this point, this is the level that most people aspire to. It makes up a good deal of Hollywood. In comparison to Shame and Guilt, one begins to feel positive here. However, it’s a false positive. It’s dependent upon external conditions such as wealth, position or power. It is also the source of racism, nationalism, and religious fanaticism.

Courage
This is the level of empowerment. It is the first level where you are not taking life energy from those around you. Courage is where you see that you don’t need to be tossed to and fro by your external conditions. This empowerment leads you to the realization that you are a steward unto yourself, and that you alone are in charge of your own growth and success. This is what makes you inherently human: the realization that there is a gap between stimulus and response and that you have the potential to choose how to respond.

Neutrality
Neutrality is the level of flexibility. To be neutral, you are, for the most part, unattached to outcomes. At this level, you are satisfied with your current life situation and tend not to have a lot of motivation towards self improvement or excellence in your career. You realize the possibilities but don’t make the sacrifices required to reach a higher level.

Willingness
Those people around you that are perpetual optimists - this is their level of consciousness. Seeing life as one big possibility is the cornerstone of those operating here. No longer are you satisfied with complacency - you strive to do your best at whatever task you’ve undertaken. You begin to develop self-discipline and willpower and learn the importance of sticking to a task till the end.

Acceptance
If Courage is the realization that you are the source of your life’s experiences, then it is here where you become the creator of them. Combined with the skills learned in the Willingness phase, you begin to awaken your potential through action. Here’s where you begin to set and achieve goals and to actively push yourself beyond your previous limitations. Up to this point you’ve been generally reactive to what life throws at you. Here’s where you turn that around, take control, and become proactive.

Reason
The level of science, medicine, and a desire for knowledge. Your thirst for knowledge becomes insatiable. You don’t waste time in activities that do not provide educational value. You begin to categorize all of life and its experiences into proofs, postulates, and theories. The failure of this level is you cannot seem to separate the subjective from the objective, and because of that, you tend to miss the point. You fail to see the forest because you’re tunnel-visioned on the trees. Paradoxically, Reason can become a stumbling block for further progressions of consciousness.

Love
Only if, in the level of Reason you start to see yourself as a potential for the greater good of mankind, will you have enough power to enter here. Here is where you start applying what was learned in your reasoning and you let the heart take over rather than the mind - you live by intuition. This is the level of charity - a selfless love that has no desire except for the welfare of those around them. Gandhi and Mother Theresa are examples of people who were living at this level. Only 0.4 percent of the world will ever reach it.

Joy
This is the level of saints and advanced spiritual people. As love becomes more unconditional, there follows a constant accompaniment of true happiness. No personal tragedy or world event could ever shake someone living at this level of consciousness. They seem to inspire and lift all those who come in contact with them. Your life is now in complete harmony with the will of Divinity and the fruits of that harmony are expressed in your joy.

Peace
Peace is achieved after a life of complete surrender to the Creator. It is where you have transcended all and have entered that place that Hawkins calls illumination. Here, a stillness and silence of mind is achieved, allowing for constant revelation. Only 1 in 10 million (that’s .00001 percent) people will arrive at this level.

Enlightenment
This is the highest level of human consciousness where one has become like God. Many see this as Christ, Buddha, or Krishna. These are those who have influenced all of mankind.
Hawkins’ Power vs. Force and his associated map of consciousness has been a groundbreaking work for those interested in human-consciousness development. In this continuum we can clearly see where we as individuals function and where we can arrive. A view into what could be our potential is inspiring.

It’s interesting to note that according to Hawkins, everything that is around us can effect our level of consciousness: the music we listen to, the people with whom we associate, the books we read, the shows that we watch, etc. After reading this book, I began to see myself and those around me in a different light. I guess you could say I felt more compassion for others. We are all at different levels of consciousness and are functioning according to the light and knowledge that we’ve obtained. This has helped me to better understand what drives people and why they make specific choices.
How can you raise your own level of consciousness? I would suggest first to figure out where you presently are - awareness is always the first step. Learn from the Great Ones who are the source of the ‘wisdom literature’ of your tradition and try to live the principles taught in those books. As you raise your own level, you will discover a desire to help others and you’ll be a source of positive change for yourself and the world.

In the 1960s, Dr. John Goodheart developed Applied Kinesiology (AK) into a practical diagnostic technique used mainly by chiropractors and holistic health practitioners. Based on the principle that “your body doesn’t lie,” AK or muscle testing assists these practitioners in uncovering what is going on in the body as well as determining whether or not a specific remedy would be beneficial. By testing the instantaneous response of a particular muscle, AK practitioners are able to more clearly navigate the complexities of the human body: If a tested muscle stayed strong, a substance was good for the body, and if it went weak, it was not.

Psychiatrist Dr. John Diamond further expanded Dr. Goodheart’s work by discovering that different images, paintings, music, games and material affect the body. For example, he found that classical music makes people go strong, while rap music makes everyone go weak. Similarly, synthetic clothing makes you weak and natural fibers make you strong. The implications of Dr. Diamond’s work, called Behavioral Kinesiology (BK), were profound: Everything we interact with either strengthens or weakens our life energy.

Psychiatrist Dr. David R. Hawkins realized the universality of muscle testing response—“what is good for you is good for me.” To test the hypothesis, Dr. Hawkins put a thousand people in a room, each with a sealed envelope. Half the room was given organic vitamin C and the other half a packet of NutraSweet. None of the participants were aware of the content of their envelope. Each person was tested using muscle testing (as described in the next section). The result was that half of the room went weak while the other half stayed strong. The 500 hundred people who went weak were holding the envelope with NutraSweet and the 500 hundred who stayed strong had the organic vitamin C—Dr. Hawkins had uncovered physiologic testings usefulness as the ultimate truth detector.
By following a simple procedure and making a clearly defined statement, one’s muscles either stay strong or go weak. Statements can be asked about anyone or anything from past to present. You can calibrate the level of truth of a politician, a Fortune 500 CEO or your next-door neighbor. Want to determine the validity of a new scientific theory? Test it. You don’t need to know anything about the topic in order to test a statement. The answer you receive from the kinesiologic response transcends your own knowledge and beliefs; you are accessing the infinite intelligence of the collective field (or Collective Unconscious) that binds us together.
Interestingly, physiologic testing calibrates at 600—the level of nonduality—which means the technique itself transcends a complete intellectual (i.e. linear) understanding of the phenomenon. In reality, everything occurs of its own, with no exterior cause. Every thing and every event is a manifestation of the totality of All That Is, just as it is at any given moment. Once seen in its totality, everything is perfect at all times and nothing needs an external cause to change it in any way. From the viewpoint of the ego’s positionality and limited scope, the world seems to need endless fixing and correction. This illusion collapses as a vanity.

In Reality, everything is automatically manifesting the inherent destiny of its essence; it doesn’t need any external help to do this. With humility, one can relinquish the ego’s self-appointed role as savior of the world and surrender it straight to God. The world that the ego pictures is a projection of its own illusions and arbitrary positionalities. No such world exists. (Eye, 107)

At some point, the illusion breaks down and the opening for the start of the spiritual quest commences. The quest turns from without to within and the search for answers begins. (Eye, 115)

Q: Where does one begin the search for spiritual truth self-realization called enlightenment?
A: It is simple. Begin with who and what you are. All truth is found within. Use verified teachings as a guide. (Eye, 175)

Like springtime, the promise of a new era in man’s understanding of God is emerging. Now the level of consciousness of mankind is high enough to be able to recognize the truth of a God of Love instead of worshipping the god of guilt and hate. (Eye, 76)

It is helpful to remember that neither Truth nor Enlightenment is something to be found, sought, acquired, gained, or possessed. The pathogenic bacteria compete with the body for vitamin B-12 and perhaps other vitamins and minerals.
7. After helpful bacteria wiped out, Candida usually develops. Candida produces toxin; however, its main deleterious effect is avid binding of coenzyme q10, usually at barely adequate levels in the diet of normals to begin with, to a far greater extent than by normal tissues. Candida is not the cause of increased intestinal permeability, except in rare instances, since substances passing into the body enter via the small intestine (jejeunum) whereas Candida is almost always confined to the large intestine (but if present in jejeunum, can be life-threatening.)

How Do Vaccines Work? Immune Mechanisms and Consequences

From Dr. Moskowitz’s previous article in Pathways (issue 10), we learned that the theoretical effect of vaccines on the infectious diseases they are designed to protect against is misleading at best.
He also illuminated the potential long-term consequences of vaccines on an individual’s overall health and wellness. I would like to present what is known about the body’s immunologic response when exposed to a microorganism naturally as compared to the response generated by the conventional vaccines. Questions that this discussion will raise are:
  1. Can the immune responses generated by the vaccines create a pattern of immune imbalance that actually compromises the child’s immune system?
  2. Does the resulting pattern of immune imbalance promote imbalances in other body systems resulting in chronic health issues?
  3. What is known about reversing the imbalance generated by vaccines and/or other immune stressors?
How Do Vaccines WorkWe have known for decades that getting the childhood diseases naturally results in a permanent immunity to the specific microorganism. Getting the vaccines results in a temporary immunity, meaning that susceptibility is deferred and repeated booster shots will be required for the ENTIRE life of the individual. In the 80s, the specific immune mechanisms involved in vaccine-induced immunity was discerned. In the 90s, the same mechanisms in humans were explored. T cells (thymus cells) are the major cell in the immune system; they direct and control all immune responses as well as immune memory. Subsets of T cells are the T-helper cells (Th). T-helper cells coordinate and direct the safest and most effective immune response. Using Moskowitz’s measles example, we know that, when infected with the measles virus naturally via the nasopharyngeal route, the body produces a Th1 response that externalizes the infection and provides permanent immunity.1 Fever, rash, coughing, sneezing, etc are signs of the body ridding itself of this infection. Bypassing the normal body lines of defense by injecting a vaccine forces the immune system into an emergency-based Th2 response which serves to internalize the infection. You don’t get the disease but are susceptible to the disease later since the Th2 response results in poor immune memory. So, if a natural, viral (measles) infection results in a Th1 response, why don’t we make vaccines that could elicit the same response.
In 1995, Golding and Scott,2 published the need for strategies to make vaccines that would generate the “required” Th cell to the corresponding microorganism. Since that time, attempts to produce vaccines that would generate a “natural”- type response have failed. So, we are left with vaccines that generate “protective” responses as a second choice. How does this work? In vaccine-induced Th2 responses, called humoral responses, the body produces large quantities of specific antibodies that block the virus from entering cells. This response is why a vaccinated child doesn’t get a full blown infection and why the child won’t spread as many viruses into the environment. However, antibodies cannot get into cells to eliminate viruses once the viruses are in the cells or cannot kill infected cells themselves. Therefore, the body has no choice other than to internalize the virus and be chronically infected when the body is forced into a Th2 antibody response. The body is essentially constipated with viruses that it cannot expel!
How Do Vaccines WorkUnvaccinated children who are exposed to measles will generate the immune response that is required to make permanent immunity as well as kick out the virus from the body. The normal, healthy body’s response to viruses is to externalize them. To suppress this natural response can be as hazardous to our health as suppressing waste elimination from the bowel or toxin release from the skin. Natural Th1 responses generate cell-mediated responses that serve to both neutralize viruses by producing antibodies and most importantly stimulate the immune cells necessary to kill any cells infected with viruses. The body works to externalize and eliminate viruses when the Th1 response is generated. So we understand now that when a Th2 response is induced, “it drives the infection deeper into the interior and causes us to harbor it chronically.”3 It is commonly held that the presence of antibody to viruses is a sign of a chronic on-going infection not a sign of immunity.4 Our bodies generally need to have Th1 cells to defend against viral, Gram-negative bacterial, and fungal infections, and tuberculosis, as well as to protect against cancer. Th2 response is necessary to protect against Gram-positive bacterial, parasitic infections, as well as to neutralize toxins from microorganisms and the environment. A balance of Th1/Th2 cells in the body is defined as immunostasis (or immune balance) and is required for optimum health and wellness. Vaccines promote a failure in immunostasis by making the Th2-type cells dominant.


Can the immune responses generated by the vaccines create a pattern of immune imbalance that actually compromises the child’s immune system?
We saw how a vaccine-generated Th2 response can burden the body and exhaust the immune system by forcing the body to deal with a chronic ongoing infection. A Th2 response to a specific virus infection will specifically suppress Th1 cells from becoming activated against the same virus. With the resulting failure to generate a Th1 response, cells infected with virus cannot be destroyed. Chronically infected cells, like nerve cells, can occasionally trick the immune system into reacting to and attacking similar nerve cells resulting in autoimmune disease such as multiple sclerosis, Guillain BarrĂ©, etc. Cells chronically infected with live vaccine viruses also risk having the viruses mutate, trade genes with each other, as well as interact with the host cell DNA.5 The live vaccines used presently include, measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (chickenpox), and flu-mist. Overactive Th2 activity, underactive Th1 capability, chronic infection, potential for novel virus infection and autoimmunity characterize failed immunostasis or Th-cell imbalance in vaccinated children.
How Do Vaccines WorkThe classic work by Ader & Cohen,6 taught us that the immune system can be classically conditioned. Like Pavlov training dogs to salivate at only a ringing bell, the immune system can be conditioned into inappropriate responses through repeated vaccinations. Natural exposure to the environment and infectious diseases conditions immune responses to be more Th1 dominant; whereas repeated vaccine exposure conditions responses to be more Th2 dominant. A child with Th2-dominance is more susceptible to intracellular organisms such as viruses and is therefore more prone to chronic ear, respiratory, and gastrointestinal infections. Children need a vibrant Th1 response to appropriately deal with the childhood intracellular viral infections, whooping cough, and hemophilus. Healthy immune systems are said to be in Th1/Th2 balance or “immunostasis.” Unhealthy immune systems are said to have a failure in or an imbalance in “immunostasis.” Parris Kidd,7 has compiled a fascinating review indicating that there may be a link between Th1/Th2 balance and disease. Diseases such as allergies, asthma, atopic dermatitis, systemic lupus erythematosus, cancer, tuberculosis, and AIDS, appear to result from a Th2-dominant immune response. It is imperative that we discern the impact of conditioning children’s immune responses to be more Th2 dominant and the consequences of this pattern on the incidence of the Th2-dominant diseases listed by Parris Kidd. When we become Th2 dominant, the antibody-producing part of our immune systems gets derailed like a freight train going a hundred miles per hour, out of control. E. Hurwitz et al has shown that unvaccinated children have less incidence of respiratory conditions, such as asthma and allergies, when compared to their vaccinated counterparts,8 thereby supporting Kidd’s hypothesis.
The focus of much current research is the role of inflammatory responses of varying degrees of severity serving as precursors to cancer, cardiovascular disease, and chronic degenerative diseases being influenced by the different Th cells. Th2 immune responses direct and support bad, excessive inflammation whereas Th1 cells promote healthier type inflammation.
With evidence to support the adverse effects on the immune system by the vaccines, then why do we continue to vaccinate? The role of public health office is to reduce the incidence of infectious disease in the pediatric population. Vaccines generate protective immune responses on a temporary basis and reduce the incidence of infectious disease in the vaccinated kids as well as the unvaccinated kids. Why are the unvaccinated kids protected too? The risk of exposure to the disease is lessened when more individuals are vaccinated. As described, that happens because vaccinated children have tons of antibodies which neutralize infectious virus thereby lessening their ability to spread viruses to others. The phenomenon of unvaccinated children being protected by the vaccinated is known as herd immunity. Herd immunity is a welcomed effect of the vaccination process from a public health perspective. But, according to physicians like James Taylor,9 this may not be a good thing. Unvaccinated children progress into their adult years with a diminished chance of exposure to childhood diseases.
With the passage of time and the vaccinated population not getting their boosters, all become susceptible to the disease. Susceptibility to childhood diseases when we are adults greatly increases severe morbidity and mortality from those diseases. Parents and the powers that-be desire this vaccination approach in order to defer infectious disease to a later date so they do not have to stay home, miss work, and care for a sick child. Th2 dominance from vaccinations results in children being at risk of diseases arising from chronic ongoing infections as well as being vulnerable to the damaging effects of the infectious disease they were vaccinated against when they age and forget about getting booster vaccinations. On the other hand, there are parents anxious to expose their children to the childhood diseases through measles and chickenpox parties so a natural (Th1) immunity can be established early, provide lifelong immunity and appropriately condition the immune system to the natural environment.

Does the resulting pattern of immune imbalance promote imbalances in other body systems resulting in chronic health issues?
The 80s and 90s also brought us an explosion of research describing the various chemicals released by cells, especially the Th cells and the receptors on cell membranes capable of reacting to these chemicals. The chemicals (cytokines, interleukins) released by T cells act as signals interacting with satellite dish like receptors on all cell membranes, especially the cells of the nervous system. Similarly, chemical communication signals from the nervous system (neurotransmitters, neurohormones) can react with T-cell satellite dishes. T-cell chemicals can react and effect the entire brain.10 The concept that science now employs is psychoneuroimmunology. So, what you think can affect your nervous and immune systems as well as the immune and nervous system affecting how you think. So, when the immune system is out of balance and depressed, it sends out interleukins which react with the brain, generating depressed behavior, depressed moods and depressed thinking.11 This depression theme excites the sympathetic (flight or fight) nervous system and the cycle keeps on streaming out of control. Patterns of immune imbalance as seen with a Th2 vaccine-conditioned immune responses beget patterns of abnormal neurological and psychological patterns which can then affect all other body systems. Patterns of subluxation have been shown to result from and enhance sympathetic activity. Therefore, patterns of immune imbalance can generate subluxation and vice versa. Other factors that condition as well as support a Th2-dominant immune pattern and should be avoided are negative consciousness patterns, which generate stress, and antibiotics, which delete the normal Gram-negative bacteria and suppress Th1 cells, sugar, caffeine, trans-fatty acids, progesterone, antibiotics, mercury, oxidative damage etc.7

What is known about reversing the imbalance generated by vaccines and/or other immune stressors?
We know that a fetus thrives in a progesterone-rich maternal environment that is Th1 suppressive. But nature solves this by first exposing the baby to normal, probiotic bacteria while coming through the birth canal. These friendly Gram-negative bacteria from the mother stimulate Th1 activity in the neonate. Secondly, breastmilk contains the normal probiotic bacteria as well as the prebiotic chemicals that selectively supports the growth of the good bacteria and Th1 activity and discourages the growth of the bad fermenting-type bacteria. Colostrum and breast milk are also rich in the interleukins necessary to stimulate Th1 activity. It is understandable from this knowledge that breastfeeding is recommended for at least one year. Lastly, exposure to environmental viruses, other Gram-negative bacteria, and fungi will also stimulate neonatal Th1 activity. It is apparent that newborns who are delivered by C-section, not breastfed, and receive their baby shots have a remarkable squashing of their Th1 capability. Repeated vaccinations, poor nutrition, and nerve interference from subluxations, serve to support this failure in immunostasis. Things to do to reinforce Th1 activity and assist in reversing the immune imbalance generated by vaccines, C-sections, formula-only feeding, and other immunostasis disrupters, include developing positive, affirming consciousness behavior patterns and choices individually as well as within the family unit. Antioxidants, mushroom extracts, melatonin, dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), probiotic bacteria such as Lactobacillus acidophilus and GG, phytosterols and sterolins, and omega-3-fatty acids (fish oils) are just a few things that have been shown to increase Th1 levels. Chiropractic adjustments are also recommended to reduce the sympathetic nervous system influence on Th1 suppression. The summary table will review the roles of the Th1 and Th2 responses as well as list what is known to increase their respective levels.

Concerns for the future well being of our children should include yearly evaluations of their immune balance either through direct T-cell assessment or indirect analyses through cytokine evaluation. If children must submit to the current vaccine schedule12, their immune systems need to be evaluated for T-cell imbalances and all steps necessary employed to restore immune balance prior to the onset of chronic health issues. On the vaccine strategy end, it appears that the future focuses on the “dream vaccine.” This vaccine will consist of a large viral DNA strand containing spliced genes from all the microorganisms desired for vaccination. The genetically engineered DNA will be injected into the baby and then be integrated into the child’s cells. Once inside the cell, the vaccine DNA will be treated like the cell’s own DNA allowing the host cell to produce vaccine components over a prolonged period. So, the child’s cells will serve as their own vaccine manufacturing plant supplying the body with continuous booster stimulation for the immune system. Such implantation technology has already been implemented with the use of the Norplant device designed to release birth control medication over a 3 to 5-year period. Will the vaccine device generate the appropriate Th response? I cannot see how it can, but the real issue, from the public health standpoint, is not whether the appropriate Th response is generated but is a protective, antibody-generating response stimulated. So, we will end up where we began with regard to having vaccines generate Th2 responses only to replace that strategy with an implanted device that will condition the immune response the same way. The prospect of having our children implanted with a DNA-based vaccine device that promote an immune conditioning outcome over years is harrowing. Maintaining immunostasis as a result of this vaccine strategy will be a challenging struggle for years to come.

Study Shows Protective Effect Even in Women Who Delay Childbirth

April 17, 2007 (Los Angeles) -- Breastfeeding can offset the increased risk ofbreast cancer faced by women who have their first baby after they turn 25, new research suggests.
"Breastfeeding offers protection against breast cancer for all women, even those who have their first full-term pregnancy later in life," says Giske Ursin, MD, PhD, associate professor of preventive medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
Ursin notes that the findings come at a time when more women are choosing to delay childbirth until their late 20s, their 30s, and beyond.
The findings were presented at the annual meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research.

Breastfeeding Protects Against Both Types of Breast Cancer

Previous research has shown that women who have their first baby after age 25 or who have fewer than four children are at increased risk for breast cancer, Ursin says.
But those studies also showed that having your first baby before that age -- or having more children -- protected against breast cancers that are fueled by hormones. This did not, however, ward off the rarer, harder-to-treat tumors that are not fueled by hormones, Ursin tells WebMD.
The new study shows that women who first gave birth after age 25 were about twice as likely to have either type of breast cancer as women who never gave birth.
Breastfeeding protected against both types of breast tumors regardless of when a woman first gave birth, Ursin says.
That is noteworthy because having a lot of babies was protective only among women who began having children at an early age, results showed.
Furthermore, having a lot of babies only reduced the risk of hormone-positive cancers in women who breastfed, but not in those who never breastfed, she says.
The researchers studied 995 women with breast cancer, about three-quarters of whom had hormone-fueled tumors, and 1,498 healthy women. The women -- all participants in a study of breast cancer in white and black women -- were aged 55 or older.
